1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Toolartisan website, tools, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, with or without an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. The service
Toolartisan provides browser-based utilities (such as image, PDF, and text tools) and AI-powered tools (such as chat, summarising, translation, transcription, and image enhancement). Some tools run entirely in your browser; others send your input to our servers or to service providers to produce a result.
3. Accounts
- You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google.
- You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your country, to create an account.
- One person should not create multiple free accounts to get around usage limits.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Free use and limits
The Service can be used for free within the following limits:
- Without an account: each non-AI tool 3 times a day and each AI tool once a day. Guest usage is tracked using an anonymised identifier derived from your IP address.
- With a free account: unlimited use of non-AI tools and 5 runs of each AI tool a day.
- With a paid plan: unlimited use of non-AI tools and a monthly pool of AI runs shared across all AI tools, as described on the Pricing page.
For tools that run in your browser, one visit counts as one use and lasts 30 minutes from your first input. For AI tools, each generation counts as one run, and a multi-step job (for example a transcript and its summary) counts once. Requests that fail are not counted. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC and monthly pools reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused runs do not carry over.
We may change free limits, file-size limits, and which tools count as AI tools. Changes that reduce what a paid plan includes will not take effect until your next billing period.
5. Paid plans and billing
Paid plans currently include:
- Starter: US$9 a month or US$90 a year, with 100 AI runs a month.
- Pro: US$19 a month or US$190 a year, with 500 AI runs a month.
- Business: US$49 a month or US$490 a year, with 2,500 AI runs a month.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars and may exclude taxes, which are added at checkout where required. We do not see or store your full card details.
Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and your payment method is charged the price in effect at that time, until you cancel. We will give you reasonable notice before any price change affects your subscription.
Changing plans
You can switch plans or billing intervals at any time. The prorated difference is charged when you switch, and any credit is applied to future invoices. A new plan takes effect once that charge succeeds.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then returns to the free tier. There is no cancellation fee.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods and unused AI runs, except where required by law or where we decide otherwise. If you were charged in error, contact us and we will put it right.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may retry it for a short period. If it still cannot be collected, your account may be moved to the free tier.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, or harassing;
- generate spam, scams, misinformation intended to deceive, or content that impersonates others;
- get around usage limits, for example with multiple accounts, rotating IP addresses, or tampering with requests;
- scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or other users' access to it;
- resell or provide the Service to others as your own product without our written permission.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to the files, text, and recordings you provide ("Your Content") and to the results the tools produce for you. You give us permission to process Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Content or use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for having the rights to use Your Content. If you record or transcribe a meeting, call, or lecture, you are responsible for getting any consent required from the people being recorded.
8. AI output
AI tools can produce results that are inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Review AI output before you rely on it or share it. Output is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Similar requests from other users may produce similar results, so output may not be unique to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google (sign-in and data storage), Stripe (payments), and AI providers. Your use of Google sign-in and Stripe checkout is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from the Service.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove tools and features. If we permanently remove something central to a paid plan, we will give you notice and, where appropriate, a prorated refund.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts, or block access, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of important files; the Service is not a backup or storage product.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Toolartisan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let account holders know by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
